RF bandpass filter under testThe 144 MHz prototype filter was tested on Winter Hill near Bolton, a well known broadcast site, during a RAYNET exercise for the Bolton Scout Hike in April 2007. Checkpoint 3 was located on a hill top with many other radio transmitters. The FDK transceiver used was unuseable without the filter due to reciever overload. With the filter in circuit no interference was heard at all. (Note the photo doesn't even show the broadcast site!)
